98th Infantry Division, WW II

Contact info

My name is Jack Greene and I am the proud son of a 98th Division veteran. As a tribute to my father and his comrades, I spent nearly ten years gathering information on the 98th and eventually wrote and self-published their WW 2 history.  It took me a while to find the time to build this website, but I hope those who visit will find the content helpful.

I would love to hear from other 98th veterans or their children to learn and share their  experiences and memories.  Drop me an email or give me a call (see below)  Looking forward to adding more memories!

This is me with BG. Albert E. Hunter, (US Army retired) during a past 98th Inf. Div. reunion. Al became a very good friend and was very helpful as I was collecting materials to write "Strength in Reserve" the History of the 98th Inf. Div. in WW II.  During the war Al, was assigned to the 923rd Field Artillery and was the battalion commander at the time of the deactivation of the division. He retired from the Army in June 1972,  as a Brigadier General.
